Users ** Links

This training guide explains the different functionalities within the Users section of JMS One.

Users are the entity that makes use of all the modules within JMS One. There are basically two types of Users, namely the Standard User and the Advanced User. They differ from each other based on the permissions to perform actions on the system. The standard user has default permission while the advanced user's permission can be edited to provide more power to them.

While adding a new user, if Enable Admin view is not activated, the new user added will be a standard user with default permission which cannot be edited. If Enable Admin View is activated, the permissions screen is visible and can provide advanced permissions to the user and the user that is created will be an advanced user. The permissions of an advanced user can be edited at any time. While editing permissions, there is also functionality to clone the permissions of an already existing user.

The users of JMS One belong to a client that uses the software. The clients are broken down even further into units for each client. Units are a place of work. The users work for the client but will only ever work at the units. There is functionality to add a User to the system and to also remove users easily when needed.

The users on the system can be assigned multiple different statuses depending on Compliance. These statuses are New, Pending, Active, Inactive, Suspended, Resigned and Non-Compliant.

The description of the User Statuses are given below-

New - This is a new user of the system, that has not yet activated and not ready to work.

Pending -  This is a user who is for a certain reason not activated and not read to work.

Active - This user has all the attributes assigned to them including up to date compliance documents, meaning they are ready to work.

Inactive - This is a user who has been inactive on the system over a long period of time.

Suspended - This is a user who has been suspended by a Client/Unit and cannot work at the current moment.

Resigned - This is a user who resigned from the Client/Unit.

Non-Compliant - This is a user with expired compliance documents. This means they cannot work until the user updates their compliance.

The Standard User in the system can see all the modules assigned to them. They can accept jobs posted or assigned to them, submit timesheets. They are able to do all the standard things on JMS One.

The Admin User has got elevated permissions within JMS One. They will be set by another admin user. They can have access to everything or only one or two things. They can be a standard user who can post jobs, however, this means they are still an Admin.

Please find a list below that has a more detailed description of the Job functionalities that are available on JMS One.
